Christian Education
The mission of Christian Education is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. To fulfill this purpose, opportunities are offered to study scripture and to understand Christian traditions. It is hoped that lives will be transformed, through experience and reason, as individuals grow into the fullness of Christian discipleship.
UMCWV strives to nurture children and youth in a caring environment as they grow in their faith and understanding of the Bible and God’s love, and become disciples of Jesus Christ. Our Adult Education similarly helps adults to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Bible and their faith and provides a supportive program as adults progress in their faith journey.
Christian Education (Sunday School) for children and youth — 10 a.m.
Children join their parents in the sanctuary for the beginning of the 10 a.m. service. They are escorted by their Sunday School teachers to the classrooms after A Time With Children.
Sunday school uses the Shine curriculum.
